What the different kinds of coaches have in common is the skill and experience to bring about what the client wants — a job that is more satisfying; stable relationships; setting and achieving life goals; starting a business, etc.

- Trust your intuition
Coaching is not therapy. Coaching emphasizes the present and future and enhancing the strengths and skills of the client. It is not counseling, nor does it provide a “quick fix.” The coach helps the client uncover the wisdom within, and build on this self-awareness in specific ways to achieve goals.
Coaches work on the phone, via email and in-person with individuals and organizations. Most offer a complimentary introductory session, so that you can both determine if there is a good “fit.”
Coaches come from many different backgrounds and have different training, so if you are considering working with a coach, ask them about their approach and style to see if there is a fit with you. There are several coaches listed here on the WMCA website, by specialty.
