Why did you get into coaching? What motivates you?
For 20 years, I was a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist for two human service organizations in the Pioneer Valley. While I was working in this capacity, I was looking for different and innovative therapies that would enhance the quality of life of my clients. A friend of mine had told me about an organization called the World Laughter Tour (WLT) that trained people to facilitate a health and wellness program called a Laughter Club. He told me that I should look into this, so I did. To make a long story short, I ended up going through a two day training through the WLT. At the end of the training, I received a certification as a Certified Laughter Leader. I then started to include the Laughter Club program into my regular programming. I immediately saw positive outcomes as a result of delivering this program. I then started receiving inquires to offer this Laughter Club program to other community organizations on a regular basis. As a result of this, Blue Sky Consulting was born. What motivates me is helping people create positive change and work with them in co-creating a happier, healthier and more productive quality of life.
