I work with people who are dealing with major changes whether in their career or personal lives and I draw on my own experiences to help others define and clarify what they want to achieve and when
What type of coaching do you offer and to whom?
Change is a constant in life and how we navigate those changes is different for each of us. I work with people who want to embrace change and plan their next steps from a position of strength. Whether it is enhancing their leadership skills; a career change; re-invention after downsizing/retirement; or starting a new business. I help my clients clarify their vision, set achievable, realistic goals and implement action steps to achieve them.
Why did you get into coaching? What motivates you?
I was a marketing communications executive for an international company for many years and one of my greatest joys and accomplishments was mentoring my staff and colleagues and watching them grow and develop professionally and personally. I like helping people to see their own potential and create a vision for themselves of what is important to them and put plans into action to create a life they love.
What differentiates you from other coaches?
I like working with people who are in the midst of change because I have experienced many significant life changes myself in a short period of time. I recently published a book, Navigating 5 Life Changes, An Odyssey of Resiliency and Hope. It was written in the hopes of inspiring others in the midst of major life change to believe in themselves and to listen to their inner voice guiding them in the right direction. In my coaching, I draw from my own experience navigating change to help my clients to take the steps needed to move forward.
What values are important to you when working with clients?
I think it is important to really listen to what clients are saying. Intuitively we all know what is best for us and sometimes we just need to have someone help us clarify our vision so that we can create goals to achieve them. I like how my clients consider me part of their team of trusted people who will help motivate and inspire them to make the changes they want to make. I consider coaching another tool in the tool kit for success.
What do you do for fun?
I enjoy listening to live music, walking and exploring sights in and around Western Mass. I love spending time with friends and my family; it’s always chaotic and fun and energizing at the same time.
