I provide executive coaching for senior leaders, career transition services for all levels, as well as facilitation of peer coaching groups for women business owners and high-potential employees.
What type of coaching do you offer and to whom?
I provide executive coaching mostly to senior leaders. In addition, I provide career transition services for all levels. While I work with companies of all sizes including for-profit and non-profit, most of my clients have been Fortune 500 companies spanning a wide spectrum of industries including Life Sciences, Media, Defense, Cable, Financial Services, Manufacturing and Healthcare.
Why did you get into coaching? What motivates you?
My first career was in behavioral health where I spent many years as a therapist. My personal mission has always been to help people meet their potential and improve health and well-being. Through coaching, I help leaders discover how to be the best version of themselves by building on their strengths and offering a plan to shift less optimal behaviors into more effective ones. I love the intellectual & emotional depth of the coaching process and feel privileged to facilitate and witness the growth and transformation of my clients.
What differentiates you from other coaches?
My work is primarily with organizations that want to invest in the development of their key people. The work focuses on the success of individuals within the context of the organization.
It is a powerful combination of the psychological, humanistic, and holistic lenses and grounded in leadership development as well as organizational and systems theory .
What values are important to you when working with clients?
My coaching is based on developing a high-trust relationship that fosters growth and development. I believe the person being coached “owns” the process and needs to be invested in the change and the results. Change is accomplished when we can focus on new and different behaviors required to achieve success. The majority of the work focuses on the individual within the context of their organization as well as the goals and accountabilities they are responsible for. At the same time, I believe in a whole person approach which involves some exploration of personal backgrounds, values, family situations, and other non-work issues that can affect how we show up. This work is extremely personal. I create a safe environment, allowing people the space and honesty they need to do their deepest personal work in order to change, develop, and grow into the leaders that they are meant to be.
What do you do for fun?
I enjoy travel, especially for family reunions. I love to garden and have an obsession for flowers. I enjoy books and movies as well as a good TV series. Wellness activities, personal growth and development are important to me and I always enjoy learning something new.
