What type of coaching do you offer and to whom?

During in-person and online SpaceBehavior™️coaching/consulting for your home or office, we implement no-to-low cost solutions using primarily what already exists to re-arrange the spaces so they are more supportive of your unique goals.

Why did you get into coaching? What motivates you?

In addition to offering residential design services, I wanted to provide a cost effective and more efficient way for people to implement no-to-low cost impactful design strategies in their existing personal environments. The immediate and positive shifts my clients experience in their daily lives motivates the continuation of this popular service.

❉ “Fascinated by his public presentation about the effect of our spaces have on behavior and performance, I hired Terry to review two separate offices and homes. After making even minor on-the-spot rearrangements, I felt the difference and more grounded. My clients and guests also feel more welcome and comfortable in these spaces. Referring friends to him, we all agree, Terry is a genius at creating an arrangement that fits how you want to feel in the space, and how you want people to interact. It’s mind-blowing!”  Val Nelson – Holistic Career and Business Coach

❉ “I have been working with Terry for the past several years. I can’t tell you how much better my home and office are with his expertise, enthusiasm, energy and commitment to excellence.”   Becky Castro – Business and Leadership Coaching and Consulting

I help creative entrepreneurs grow their business with intuitive action, clarity, and financial ease.

What type of coaching do you offer and to whom?

You are capable of soul-fulfilling, visionary things — but first you have to trust your gifts and your happiness.

Here’s how to know if you’re in the right spot:

  • You feel like you have a great idea, but are tired of the struggle.
  • You consider yourself heart-centered, sensitive, empathetic, or emotionally intelligent.
  • Your business is purpose-driven and an outlet for self-expression.
  • You believe strongly in a better, kinder, more equitable world, and aren’t sure how to create a compassionate business that meets your financial needs.
  • You love your business, but struggle to fulfill your own needs, wants, and desires.

Why did you get into coaching? What motivates you?

Before becoming a coach, I worked at nonprofits. For 10+ years, I was great at fundraising, building systems, and helping match the backend of the organization with the mission.

I believed when our heart and soul are fully aligned with our calling, magic would happen. And it did! I was successful in my work, but — like many people in helping professions — I burnt out.

When I became a coach, I quickly fell in love with my work. I supported others in their journey for integrity and self-worth to create a life they love. (Yay!)

The work came easily. The business part, not so much.

Suddenly, the things that made me an amazing coach — creativity, emotional intuition, and inner wisdom — felt like liabilities in growing my business. Plus, as a parent of 3, I didn’t have the time or capacity to have a business that weighed me down.

After a particularly hard month, I reset.

I trusted what felt good in my business — fully and unconditionally. By trusting my gifts and happiness more deeply, I found a path to business growth that filled me with joy and brought financial peace.

Ready to trust your personalized, creative, heart-centered approach to business? I am too!

What values are important to you when working with clients?

Your business isn’t about business. It’s about creating a meaningful experience for yourself and those you serve. Yet, you need stability and nourishment to live out your purpose — and thrive.

Here’s how it works:

  • Clear Vision: You have the exact perfect blend of gifts and vision to create your business. Through coaching, you’ll relish your personalized way of doing things and step into positivity with your vision!
    .
  • Easy Implementation: You’re a non-traditional business owner. You don’t need cookie-cutter advice. Instead, you need strategic action steps and business systems that amplify what you love and how you love work. We’ll make it easy to trust your next right step, so you can move from stuck to flow!
    .
  • Peaceful Prosperity: Your revenue needs to nourish you. To live out your purpose without burnout, you need a healthy relationship with money — one that fills you up and keeps you in flow. By finding clarity in your finances, you’ll step into peaceful prosperity, connected to your values, your desires, and your purpose!

What do you do for fun?

I live in Florence, MA with my 3 magical kiddos (ages 5, 9, and 12) and amazing partner. I love going on hikes alone, meeting friends for a delicious meal, and keeping things low-effort and pleasure-driven.

Valerie Gilman

Coaching for life transitions, wellness, and creativity
MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Psychosynthesis Transformational Life Coach
http://www.taprootartsinsight.com

Through individual coaching and courses, I help thoughtful, passionate and caring people rediscover their ground and move forward with their creative and/or health related dreams.

What type of coaching do you offer and to whom?

Most of my clients are committed to making the world a better place: givers either in professional roles like teaching, counseling, and community organizing, or in personal and family roles where they attend to the needs of others. If you are committed to serving in this way, the challenge is that it is hard to prioritize your own needs, and this can result in health issues, emotional eating and a deep unease and sense of not knowing yourself.

My coaching is both grounded in the practical and searching into the creative unknown. Through guided visualizations and dream work, we reveal your inner wisdom, deep needs, and true passions. We look at the patterns and dynamics at play and as you set goals and strategies, I provide affirming witnessing, compassionate questions and safety to explore. I have a firm belief that you have the wholeness, health and wisdom that you need, and my job is to help you access and believe it. It is thrilling to see the movement from tangled dis-ease to grounded clarity and focus.

Why did you get into coaching? What motivates you?

Life is fascinating: the twists and turns, the unexpected and the slow revelation.

Having been a college professor teaching art for more than a decade, I became aware that I was witness and guide to the life lessons and personal journeys that my students were discovering through their creative work. In my own work as an artist, I was aware not just of the mirror and deep information that the creative process provided, but also the transformative healing that took place as I fell in love with the forms that emerged. I began to hear the phrase “art as a healing process” as an internal mantra. I believe strongly that there is a wholeness and wisdom that we carry, and that can be masked by confusion and shoulds. My joy is in helping people, artists and people who would never consider themselves artists, access their creative wisdom to reclaim their wholeness, balance and wonder. I love to see my students and my clients creating a life of meaning and richness even as they face the challenges that life offers.

What differentiates you from other coaches?

All coaches bring not just their training, but their life experience to bear in their work with clients. My psychosynthesis training, based in the work of Roberto Assiagoli, provides a theoretical framework to understand how both the transpersonal (spiritual and universal) and the pre-personal (sub-conscious stories that live in us) function in our daily lives and how we can support the unfolding of the Self. My background as both a professional artist with a strong exhibition record and a professor give me a very practical understanding of how to break things down into doable steps while envisioning the whole, and also how to trust the process even as it is confusing and unknown. Life is a creative process and if we know exactly where we are going, we are not allowing the full scope of what is possible. In order to live fully into ourselves we need to trust ourselves to walk into the unknown and emerge with greater wisdom and clarity.

What values are important to you when working with clients?

Humor, compassion, presence, trust, openness, confidentiality, pleasure, witnessing, honoring the wholeness of the individual and the essential roles we play in the collective.

What do you do for fun?

Hike in the woods, play and dance with my daughter, yoga, swim in lakes and oceans, make pottery and sculpture, garden, bike, run, cook and eat with good friends and family, read juicy novels and eat popcorn at the movies
