Coaches Spotlight: Q&A with Nancy Francisco

What type of coaching do you offer and to whom? article photo 1

I help parents, schools and organizations that are struggling with a lack of connection in their family, school or workplace, families that find it hard to find time to be together.  And when they do find the time, they don’t know how they want to be together or what they want to do together.  These are families that feel stuck in overscheduled individual lives that allow little room to nurture their relationship with themselves, their partner or their family as a whole.  I also help schools and organizations that struggle to build community and compassionate relationships.   I offer a blend of life coaching  and coaching family ritual and celebration.

Why did you get into coaching? What motivates you?

I can’t think of anything more satisfying than helping people live more fulfilled lives.  It is a joy to do this work.  I hope to help transform the way people live and celebrate their lives.  I believe that there is an enormous potential in celebration, to bring our human community together with more love and more peace.  We are celebrating all the time.  From family meals to holidays and birthdays, and more.  It is my belief that people are unaware of what it means to celebrate, why we celebrate.  Unaware of how celebrating with more intention can be life changing.  So I feel not only motivated but called to share what I have learned about this.

What differentiates you from other coaches?

My focus on celebration and ritual.  My knowledge of this area of human life.  Also, I am a calm person.  People come to me seeking more calm, more peace in their life.  I know how to slow down and have been practicing it most of my life.  I know how to create presence in life, how to create peaceful environments, and how to bring people more closely together, in peace.

What values are important to you when working with clients?

Connection, creativity, balance, renewal, simplicity, sustainability, visioning, celebrating.

What do you do for fun?

I love to spend hours cooking vegetarian meals from scratch, creating delicious, beautiful suppers.  I love walking regularly in the park near my house with my husband.  Writing has been a life-long passion.  I publish an e-zine every other week that includes an article and photos that I take, throughout the seasons.  You can go to my website and subscribe to it, A Celebrated Life.
