What type of coaching do you offer and to whom?
I work with people in two areas: those who have jobs and want to perform at their best, and those who are looking for the right job for themselves. My clients include professional managers, executives, engineers, attorneys and people who work internationally. I help people become more aware of their strengths and how to use them in their careers. I am a Certified Positive Psychology Coach, and a Certified Career Transition Coach.
Why did you get into coaching? What motivates you?
I started coaching in 1997 as part of my then job as a management consultant. I soon noticed that the fit was great for me, and I was able to expand and use my strengths to good effect. In 2002 I became a full time coach. I enjoy helping others find the right job and shine in their work.
What differentiates you from other coaches?
I have worked in the US and abroad in technical, operations, consulting and senior management positions. I understand the business world, the non-profit world and the rigors of job search. I have over 30 years work experience. I have been there.
What values are important to you when working with clients?
Active listening — paying attention to the client’s needs; accountability on both sides. Setting specific goals contributes to success. Openness, willingness and honesty are also critical to success in a coaching assignment.
What do you do for fun?
I have practiced yoga for the past 9 years, which I deeply enjoy. I also play music and work in our garden.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I offer a complimentary initial session to determine if there is a good fit between the client and myself. I work in-person, on the phone and via Skype.
