Candice Reffe

Transition and Leadership Coach
ICF ACC, Evidence-Based Coaching Fielding Graduate University, Published Author
http://linkedin.com/in/candicereffe

I guide clients to close the gap between where they are and where they want to be, to get the traction to live and lead with clarity, energy and purpose.

What type of coaching do you offer and to whom?

My clients want to make a difference—to lead with their values. They’re at a turning point, whether they want to change careers, accelerate their capacity to lead change, start their own business, or shape a post-career life. They want to turn the lights on in their lives and in the lives of others—their families, communities, workplaces.

Why did you get into coaching? What motivates you?

When I was a C-suite executive my coaches helped me grow as a leader and a person—with their support, the business became famous for the sustainability work I led, and I published a book of poems that explores the world of work.

Now as a coach, I create the space for others that my coaches did for me. A thinking and feeling partner, I support clients to clarify and realize their vision and potential, to increase their own and their organization’s effectiveness and impact.

What differentiates you from other coaches?

I coach clients from different walks of life and industries, from the military to health and well being, from the arts to manufacturing.

I led systemic change as a C-Suite executive, so I know how to help clients lead change through collaboration and exemplary teams. I led business strategy and innovation through the lens of social justice, so I know how to support clients to move from talk to impact. As a working artist I guide clients to turn what they imagine into reality, to navigate change with courage and curiosity.

I’ve pivoted many times in my life—and grown from that–it’s my honor to guide others amid growth and change.

What values are important to you when working with clients?

Because a trusting relationship between coach and client lays the foundation for change, I value the coach’s capacity to listen without judgment, share insights and resources, and ask questions that lead a client into fresh territory. I value the client’s willingness to be vulnerable, to explore, experiment and practice new behaviors and actions that sustain the changes they make.

What do you do for fun?

I’m always writing another book—I love getting lost in language and finding my way back. Cooking and eating with friends, harvesting from the garden, labors of love. I walk for miles—in the neighborhood and on hiking trails—and in the summer swim in open water where I feel more at home than on land.

Doris Dittmer, MA, PLC

Psychosynthesis Life Coach and Artist-Healer
Psychosynthesis Life Coach, MA Forensic Psychology
https://www.oasisinthestorm.com

I am dedicated to helping creative-minded people live up to their own expectations of themselves in their creative and personal lives.

What type of coaching do you offer and to whom?

I help creative-minded adults who feel thwarted, blocked, stuck, bored or unfulfilled in their life paths.  You may have tried other ways to fix your problems but continue to experience stress, anxiety, anger, depressed mood, or job or relationship issues. Psychosynthesis coaching helps unlock your potential using your creativity. It helps to clarify and define your goals, and to develop ways to achieve them. It helps you find your own voice. Evidence-based techniques from several disciplines, including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, creative-arts therapies and dream work are custom-tailored to your needs and your style. We work together collaboratively, and between-session phone check-ins and emails help keep you motivated and on track. Sessions are conducted online and include an optional weekly online guided meditation group.

Why did you get into coaching? What motivates you?

My life has always had two themes: art and easing the distress of others. As a child of inherited trauma, I recognized very early the pain of others, as well as my tendency to help and support people. I was always a great listener. After college, I became director and primary therapist of a residential treatment home for court-ordered children. In order to provide the best treatment, I studied art therapy and received intensive training in cognitive behavioral therapy, which included parent training. These methods were so successful that almost all the children were able to return to their families or transition into adoptive homes, and this motivated me to continue working with those who needed it most. My most rewarding undertakings were as art specialist in a summer camp for special needs children, and photographer for an Environmental Enhancement Project in the brain trauma unit of Bellevue Hospital. Continuing on my path, I earned my MA in forensic psychology, and transitioned to working with adults in various capacities (mental health clinician, art therapist, social worker, case manager). Ultimately I became a psychosynthesis life coach because it combines, in a creative collaborative way, the best of all these worlds and provides fast, practical, permanent solutions to problems of living.

What differentiates you from other coaches?

As an artist (photographer, dancer, poet), I understand the unique struggles of my artist and creator clients. I have also overcome many of the non-arts-related struggles that others experience.

My program is based in psychosynthesis, an approach developed over 100 years ago. Certain techniques have been specifically developed by the founders and leaders in the field, drawing from methods of various healing traditions. My training in art therapy as well as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and other healing traditions are incorporated into my program. While these methods are customized to each person, everyone is guided to develop their own clear goals which are broken down into smaller achievable steps, arriving at solutions quickly and effectively.

In addition to life coaching, I also offer a no-cost weekly online meditation group, please contact me to register.  Several related programs can also be found on my website, and an arts and meditation retreat is planned for the fall of 2022.

What values are important to you when working with clients?

I honor your Truth. I listen deeply and non-judgmentally with respect and caring, and I ask powerful questions. You are an adult, so I don’t need to tell you what to do, I only suggest and guide. That’s because you already know what needs to be done but may not know how to start. We work in a cooperative partnership (not one-up-one-down). My goal is to get my clients to a point where they know how to identify and address their problems on their own, i.e. I’m trying to put myself out of a job.

What do you do for fun?

  • make art (photography, drawing, poetry)
  • visit family and friends wherever they may be
  • hike in forests, deserts, and mountains
  • dig in the dirt (i.e. “gardening”)
  • gaze at the stars
  • watch Cirque du Soleil
  • member of Small Planet Dancers, Write-Up Springfield, Out/Spoken Poets, Springfield Naturalists Club

Cathy Crosky MA, MS

Executive Coaching and Career Transition Coaching
MA Psychology, MS in Organization and Management
http://www.cathycrosky.com

I provide executive coaching for senior leaders, career transition services for all levels, as well as facilitation of peer coaching groups for women business owners and high-potential employees.

What type of coaching do you offer and to whom?

I provide executive coaching mostly to senior leaders. In addition, I provide career transition services for all levels. While I work with companies of all sizes including for-profit and non-profit, most of my clients have been Fortune 500 companies spanning a wide spectrum of industries including Life Sciences, Media, Defense, Cable, Financial Services, Manufacturing and Healthcare.

Why did you get into coaching? What motivates you?

My first career was in behavioral health where I spent many years as a therapist. My personal mission has always been to help people meet their potential and improve health and well-being. Through coaching, I help leaders discover how to be the best version of themselves by building on their strengths and offering a plan to shift less optimal behaviors into more effective ones. I love the intellectual & emotional depth of the coaching process and feel privileged to facilitate and witness the growth and transformation of my clients.

What differentiates you from other coaches?

My work is primarily with organizations that want to invest in the development of their key people. The work focuses on the success of individuals within the context of the organization.

It is a powerful combination of the psychological, humanistic, and holistic lenses and grounded in leadership development as well as organizational and systems theory .

What values are important to you when working with clients?

My coaching is based on developing a high-trust relationship that fosters growth and development. I believe the person being coached  “owns” the process and needs to be invested in the change and the results. Change is accomplished when we can focus on new and different behaviors required to achieve success. The majority of the work focuses on the individual within the context of their organization as well as the goals and accountabilities they are responsible for. At the same time, I believe in a whole person approach which involves some exploration of personal backgrounds, values, family situations, and other non-work issues that can affect how we show up. This work is extremely personal. I create a safe environment, allowing people the space and honesty they need to do their deepest personal work in order to change, develop, and grow into the leaders that they are meant to be.

What do you do for fun?

I enjoy travel, especially for family reunions. I love to garden and have an obsession for flowers. I enjoy books and movies as well as a good TV series. Wellness activities, personal growth and development are important to me and I always enjoy learning something new.
